Gan said he will continue to lead the pharmaceutical oil firm as chief executive.
I am deeply sorry if this incident has caused agitation, discomfort and anxiety to anyone, Gan said at his firms Gloucester Road headquarters after bowing five times.
Gan was accompanied by former actor Tang Ho-kwong, who works for Pak Fah Yeow and was rumored to be his lover.
Bowing deeply between statements, Gan added: I apologize for upsetting my fans.
As a former director of Po Leung Kuk and a donor to many other organizations, Gan asked for forgiveness from charities.
Gan then said in English he hopes the taxi drivers, his family, teachers, lawyers, the judge in the case and his friends would live happily and have good health.
Gan said the apology would be his last comment on the case.
Gan was convicted of molesting a taxi driver on October 10 last year and another driver on November 30, 2003.
