Russian Maria Sharapova will be the new women's world No1 when the WTA rankings are released on Monday, following Justine Henin's decision to retire.
Sharapova will take over the top spot for the fourth time since first taking the top ranking in August 2005. "The ranking has never been a big deal for me," the 21-year-old said after beating Dominika Cibulkova in the second round of the Italian Open. "My main goal is just to keep winning matches."
