Apple 可能面臨美國司法部關於 AirTag 的反壟斷指控

Apple 可能將面臨來自美國司法部的新一輪反壟斷指控,而這次的關注點會集中在 AirTag 和其它硬體上。Politico 日前從線人處獲悉,司法部的律師目前正處在起草指控的初期階段。雖然消息來源都指出司法部對 Apple 的硬體產品很有「興趣」,但最終官司是否真的會打起來暫時還沒有個定數。從 2019 年開始,司法部就一直在著手對 Apple 進行反壟斷調查。不過迄今為止他們主要都是瞄準了 Apple 對 App Store 和開發者支付系統的限制,但其接下來可能會轉向追蹤器廠商 Tile 多年來對 Apple 的公開壟斷指控。

在之前的國會證詞中,Tile 提到 Apple 故意讓 Find My 網路封閉化,目的就是令 Tile 處於不利的競爭位置。後來在壓力之下,Apple 去年向部分第三方廠商開放了 Find My 網路。但即便如此他們仍設下了許多限制,而這可能就會迫使 Tile 這樣的公司不得不放棄自己的軟體生態系統,轉而委身於 Apple 的生態圈內。
