Facebook、Instagram 和 WhatsApp 或將有收費用戶專屬功能

擁有 Facebook、Instagram 和 WhatsApp 三大社交平台的 Meta,近來致力統一各個產品的功能,據 The Verge 的報導更是新增了一個新的「New Monetization Experiences」部門來統整這些 app 的獲利方式,甚至是有推出收費會員功能來擴展財源的打算。

Facebook 和 Instagram 現行的付費元素包括有向創作者打賞、星星、收費活動、會員訂閱等,但新的部門似乎不會干預這些現有產品,而是主要開發新收費項目(顧名思義吧)。官方代表 Meta 的獲利化 VP John Hegeman 就向 The Verge 表示,他們會參考同業對手的做法,像是近來都已經推出了月費會員計劃的 Twitter、Snapchat、Telegram。

Meta 上季財報顯示他們的廣告收入因為各種因素而大受打擊,所以他們也只能努力另覓新財源來減少依賴,會員制收入也算是一種業界都陸續應用的方式,Meta 會參考引進也不叫人意外。
